Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are nocturnal and like to stay close to a food source, so are usually found in areas where people tend to rest and sleep, hence the name bed bug. A bed bug takes between three and 10 minutes to feed. Adults can lay dormant for many months without feeding.

Size: Adults – flat, oval shape usually 4 – 5 mm length, reddish-brown in colour
Areas found: In bedrooms of b&b, motels, hotels, houses and cinemas and on luggage
Signs of infestations: Live bed bugs, dead bed bugs, bites, blood spots
