Fleas
There are over 2,000 species of fleas worldwide. Fleas are able to jump up to 30cm high. Adult fleas can stay dormant for up to 6 months, till there is a host animal. A female can lay hundreds of eggs in their lifetime. Eggs can hatch in 1.5-6 days.
Size: Cat fleas – red/brown in colour, 2-3 mm long
Areas found: Around cats and dogs living areas
Signs of infestations: Live fleas, dead fleas and bites.
